Operations Assistance
João Serra was born in March 25th, 1969. In 1987 enters the University of Coimbra for a Civil Engineering degree at the FCTUC. Remains associated to the institution 6 more years, working at the construction of the Second Pole building between 1993 e 1999. In the beginning of his activity as an engineer, was supervision assistant of anchored walls which led him later to assume the supervision direction of the buildings of the departments of Electrotechnology and Civil Engineering.
In 2000 enters BRISA – Autoestradas de Portugal, being the responsible engineer in projects such as the construction of viaducts of A2 – south highway, between Ourique and Almodôvar. In 2002 goes to the concessions area of Group ASCENDI as Chief of bridges and viaducts in the highway of Costa de Prata, between Mira and Oporto. In 2004 returns to BRISA and participates in the construction of the Tejo Crossing in Carregado, although the main projects in which participates ended up being the enlargement of IC19 from Queluz to Cacém as a Supervision Chief and at the highway construction in Morocco.
Concerning the last, which lasted for three years, was the first internationalization project of the company and was maintained as its only representative team in the country until the conclusion. Group Lena was partner for the project of the construction of the highway with 35 Km, between Fés and Oujda. João Serra was the outsourcing coordinator and accumulated this responsibility with the production management and as general director assistant for LENA in Morroco.
In 2011 returns to Portugal, to work at the concession of the Coast West which interrupts in order to attend the International MBA at the Catholic University / ESADE, which concludes successfully in 2013.
After that, was invited to be part of CNP, where is responsible for the consultancy area of Civil Engineering.
